The weather was not exactly cooperating with us this morning. It was a bit raw and most of us wore our heavier jackets. I met Ernie, Kattie, Gail, Betty, Dave and newcomer Kim in the parking lot. I then proceeded to get a flat tire -oh well better to get it right away than to have started the ride. Once everything was fixed we rode out down toward Rivervale then looped back by the Reservior and into Orangeburg. We made a pit stop by the Pier. It was grey and windy so we didn't stay too long!  We stopped in Tappan for some coffee. In spite of the lack of sunshine there were a lot of group rides out today (that's a good sign).
We rode back via the Blue Hill hill (?) hmmmmm that will warm you up. All in all once you got going you did not notice the chill. Nice ride everyone, thanks for joining me!! And welcome to the group Kim!!

Shawn and I held our 5K/10K open and high school girls racewalk at the Nyack High School track on Sunday.  We noticed lots of cyclists riding on 9W; so despite a cloudy, chilly day spring is here and that means riding season has begun!  It sounds like you all had a nice ride and I"m glad Kim joined the group - I think last week the ride she wanted to do was canceled.

Hoping to join everyone very soon.

What a great 1st RBC ride!  Thanks to all for making me feel welcome from the 1st rotation to my little spill on the railroad track :-) & Blue Hill is an awesome training climb!  I felt like the little engine that could, next time I'll where a red jersey...LOL   I am really looking forward to an active membership and many group rides and events!
