Sometimes the rides you don't think will happen turn out to be the best ride. This morning was so overcast you could practically touch the clouds and I definitely felt a sprinkle or two. I met Paul, John F., and Ernie in the parking lot and we figured we would ride as far as we could.

Happily the rain held out as we rode down 9W and there were lots of riders to keep us company. By the way we noticed a big police presence both on 9W and in Piermont. So remember ride single, stop for everything and ride safe.

We had a nice pace going, maybe the threat of rain motivated us to push hard or I think it was Ernie's fault (one of the two). Anyway we stopped at Strictly Bikes for a quick snack and water and then back via 9W. e stopped at the pier for a photo op, love that pier.
Thanks for joining hope you enjoyed the ride

Thank you Lila, Paul, and Ernie, for such a great ride. We had a lot of fun changing the lead and hitting the hills! Paul, that 41 mph downhill was awesome! I am glad I dusted off the bike and made this my first club ride in over 7 months.

I was truly a great ride...John, it was good to see you back on a bike again.  Ernie, welcome back from your ride in San Diego....things are a little different in California.
The downhill on 9W is always amazing, but we averaged about 15½ for the ride, which was nice.

Thanks for the ride and fun along the way. It felt like my legs were still on vacation! Yes, it's my fault :)
