We shouldn't have been surprised to see Mike on another new bike.
-- "What happened to your beautiful Specialized S-Works?"
-- "I decided to go with a Giant. Know anyone who wants to buy an S-Works?"
Kevin, Mike and I rode from David's, with Joe joining us on Sickletown Road. Joe and I were just looking to spin on some easy miles, since we are both planning to ride the Ramapo Rally tomorrow (we're confident that the rain won't start until after the ride). Mike and Kevin were in the mood for something more aggressive, but they kindly toned it back for us, planning to add some extra miles and climbing at the end.
As we entered Rockland Lake, it was a pleasure to come across club members Paul L., Lila, and John F. We enjoyed riding around the lake together, heading our own ways back at 9W.
On the climb back up 9W, Mike showed us what he and his new Giant could do. Segment hunting, he said.
Thanks to Mike and Kevin for accommodating my lack of ambition today. We managed about 30 miles together at the advertised pace. It was a beautiful day to be on a bike, and the RBC crowd added to the enjoyment.
